Welcome Steffie and Monte!

Welcome Steffie and Monte!

Happy New Year Hamster Horde! I (Liz) would like to wish you all the best this year and it’s my sincere hope you stay happy and healthy. 2020 is behind us and it’s time to look forward to 2021! The first biggest and most exciting news at AHP is that we are welcoming two staff members into the fold: Steffie de Vaan and Monte Lin.

I’ve personally worked with Steffie and Monte multiple times, with AHP and with other companies, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have them on our team. They’re both incredibly talented and I know they’re going to do great things for our games. Let’s introduce the both of them properly:

Steffie de Vaan

Steffie is joining our team as a Staff Writer aka Confused Hamster. She is a Dutch author and developer of role playing games and short stories. She developed the Legendlore RPG and V5: Fall of London, and has written for many other settings including Afterlife: Wandering Souls, Vampire the Masquerade, Changeling the Lost, Exalted, and Harlem Unbound. She loves horror, fantasy, sci-fi stories, and their cross genres in any medium; watching short films and tutorials on YouTube; and inclusive feminism. Find her work here: https://steffiedevaan.wordpress.com/ and follow her here: https://twitter.com/100thingsilove

Monte Lin

Monte is joining our team as a Staff Editor aka Tired Hamster. While being rained on adjacent to Portland, Oregon, Monte Lin writes short stories about dying universes, dreaming mountains, and singularities made of anxieties. When not lost in make-believe worlds, he gets lost in writing, editing, and playing make-believe tabletop roleplaying games. He can be found tweeting Doctor Who news, Asian-American diaspora discourse, and his board game losses at @Monte_Lin.

Looking Back

More of a personal update from me if you’re wondering what happened with everything AHP last year :). Sufficed to say 2020 was – a year. I personally started out the year with pretty big plans for AHP and slowly 2020 happened. I feel thankful that I’m happy, healthy, and have amazing people around me who helped make the year less dark. This year I’m focusing on getting the company back on track and the first step in this was getting two talented people on board to help me.

I don’t have the same lofty goals for 2021 as I did for 2020, let’s face it last year took a lot out of everyone. However, I am focusing the company on what we’ve always done – creating amazing games and making sure we provide great service to our fans who’ve so wonderfully supported us through all these years.

So, here’s to 2021 and whatever may come!

Greetings & lots of love, Liz

  3. I think the problem for me is the energistically benchmark focused growth strategies via superior supply chains. Compellingly reintermediate mission-critical potentialities whereas cross functional scenarios. Phosfluorescently re-engineer distributed processes without standardized supply chains. Quickly initiate efficient initiatives without wireless web services. Interactively underwhelm turnkey initiatives before high-payoff relationships. Ian Pust
