Kickstarter update: Art & wonderful things
Dear WITCHies!
How are you doing? I am doing great. Why you ask? Well art is coming in! So much, lovely, lovely art. Instead of teasing you with this how about I just show you?
Mechanics
If you haven’t seen it yet, I did a preview of magic alteration on our blog! My friend Martijn made a techno-junkie Druid and I explained how he used magic alteration to change his powers.Check it out here.
Also, we are very close to the end of the 2d10 vs. 1d20 debate. I don’t want to say anything till I am 100% sure, but know an update is coming (a cool private one even XD).
Timelines
Everything is going as planned. I am plugging away at writing all the stretch goals and in weekly contact with all the lovely ladies working on the book with me. A mechanics packet is still set to go out to you in mid-June and I am busy fiddling with the rest of the book. After that I am going to send it to be edited (yay for a loving mom who is also a teacher!) and then edited again, and again, and again. Plus, I am working on page layouts!
Pledge fulfillment
I got some really cool news from my friend Andries! Andries is Floor’s partner, and he works with people who have intellectual disabilities. He is one of the most amazing people I know, with the coolest jobs, and he is activity leader at his work. His job is to think of cool games for the residents, make music, arrange activities etc. Yesterday, I spoke with him and we decided to partner with the center where he works for pledge fulfillment.
Basically, we will take all the packing and materials to the center and the residents there will help us pack. The residents are often offered to do these types of mini-jobs to earn some extra money and get work experience. What’s cool for you is that each one of our orders will be hand-picked and packed. The people Andries works with are great with putting attention to each task they are doing, which means your box is going to get assembled with a lot of care.
Herald – A shout out
You may be wondering why you haven’t seen an art update from Aida yet. Well, it is because she is working on finishing up her own Kickstarter. It has only 48 hours left and it is an amazing project! Check out Herald here!
“Herald is a two-part interactive period drama for PC, Mac and Linux that plays as a mix between a visual novel and a 3D point and click adventure game. You are Devan Rensburg, a man of mixed heritage, assigned to work as a steward aboard the merchant ship HLV Herald.”
If you like Aida’s art (she did all the art for this) and you like video games like the Walking Dead and The Wolf Amoung Us. Please go check them out!
xx
Liz
